Olay Ultimate Eye Cream* Review

Price: 48.99$ supermarkets and pharmacies

Olay Ultimate Eye Cream comes in a sleek packing, the little jar looks very cute in my skin care stash.  When I opened the jar for the first time, I was surprised to see that the cream looks like a foundation in a small pot. The cream is beige coloured but upon application it disappears into my skin tone.

The cream itself is fragrance free which is good for my sensitive eyes. It has thick consistency and feels silky on my skin. The application is very easy, I use my ring finger and the cream quickly absorbs with out leaving any greasy residue. Due to its rich texture I need a small amount, and I think that this jar will last for a long time.

I have dry skin and my delicate eye area always needs hydration. This cream instantly moisturises, makes my eye area smooth and hydrated. I apply it twice a day and in the morning, I always wake up with fresh eyes. Occasionally I do have puffy eyes, but during this trial, I have not notice puffiness at all.  I use contact lenses and this cream does not cause any negative reaction to my sensitive eyes.

I am using Olay Ultimate Eye Cream for more than 3 weeks. My eye area is very well hydrated and the fine lines look smoother. At this stage, the dark circles are still there not a huge improvement.

Overall, this eye cream is a great addition into my skin care regime, but it does not work like a magic to disappear dark circles.

Benefit Hoola Bronzer: It actually worth the hype, perfect for contouring.
Eyes

NYX Eyebrow Pencil: It is very similar to Benefit Goof Proof but with the friction of price.

Essence Make Me Brow: Cheap dupe of Benefit gimme brow.

Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil: Perfect for fuller brows.

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara: Love this macaara, it instantly curls my lashes.

Bio Oil Review*

Price: 15$-35$  from Priceline, Chemist Warehouse, Supermarkets, Big W, Kmart, Target and pharmacies

Being a mother of two, I have learned to live (and love) with my stretch marks. I am realistic about body changes after child brirth, I do not expect that any product or excersize will work like a magic and bring back my previous body.

Bio Oil comes in a transparent plastic bottle which is very easy to use and even I can carry smaller size in my handbag too. I used it on my face and body, having dry skin, I always love to use oils on my face. I also used it on my body and specially focused on my tummy where I have most damaged skin. The oil has runny consistency and has light smell which disappears after few minutes. Upon application It feels greasy but after some time it just absorbs into my skin. It instantly moisturises my skin leaving it soft and silky, and It does not feel sticky or heavy. I only need small amount for each application, I think the bottle will last for long time.

I used Bio oil on my face and body for few weeks but I used it on my face only at night. During trial period my facial skin feels well hydrated and soft, while dry patches also disappears. On my body, the results are almost same, my skin is moisturised and overall appearance of my stretch marks are improved.  The best thing about Bio oil is its ability to hydrate and calm down my skin. I suffer from dryness and itchiness on my stretch marks areas and with Bio oil my skin is moisturised, calm and smooth. When it comes to appearance of stretch marks, the results are not very noticeable at that time but I hope to see improvement in the future.

Currently, I added Bio oil into my skin care routine specially for my body, it is a must have product.

I hope Bio Oil will introduce more products in this range.

Simplicité Lemon Night Creme Review*

Price:53.50 at Myer and online

 Simplicité Lemon Night Creme

Simplicité Lemon Night Creme comes in sleek white jar with silver lid. The cream is rich and has thick consistency, but surprisingly it just melts into my skin beautifully with out leaving greasy residue. It has strong lemon smell which I like, it feels very refreshing especially in the summer season. The smell disappears after few minutes of application.

I am using this cream for the last few weeks and I am satisfied with the results. It is very light weight cream and does not feel heavy. I have normal to dry skin in summers, it moisturises my skin instantly with out making it oily or greasy. In the morning I can feel that my skin is well hydrated, and looks nourished and healthy. All the dry areas on my skin are improved and dull skin also looks much better. I have sensitive skin and this cream works very well with my skin type. It does not break me out and does not cause any negative reaction.

In these few weeks of use, I can see that my skin looks bright and clear. I have few acne marks and they just disappeared, also the overall appearance of my skin improved a lot.My dull and dry skin feels nourished, firm and well hydrated.

Overall I am very happy with this product and it works great with my skin. The only dislike is the price and availability, it is only available at Myer which is too far from my place.

Collective Haul - Priceline and Mecca

Few months back I visited Priceline in Canberra Center to buy hair colour but ended up with some makeup goodies (and forget to buy hair colour). First, I was surprised to see some stalls out side Priceline containing clearance Items. There were not massive crowd around so I easily looked at those products.

There was huge reduction on selected products, and even I was curious why they are on such a low price. Sales assistant told me that they need space for Christmas stuff so they are clearing their stock. She also confirmed that these products or the shades are discontinued by the brand or Priceline. Being a beauty blogger I can confirm that the sale stuff is really discontinued.  Also I want to mention that all the products are brand new, sealed and in perfect condition, I opened their seal to take photos. I really appreciate Priceline for this massive reduction unlike other retailers who put them in clearance bins on higher prices and they stay there for ages.

Finally I choose some products, I have kept these for me and others I have already given as gift. The Maybelline powder was discontinued, I like this old version, sadly the new one does not work for me. I bought two different shades because testers were not there, I hope one will work for me.

My local Mecca store does not stock Urban Decay and I was dying to try their new lipstick. I hate to pay 10$ for shipping, so I waited for Mecca free shipping offer. Some of the shades were already out of stock, I selected the Shade Menace in Matte comfort (28$). I am pleasantly surprised with the fast shipping, but unfortunately it was very hot day and my lipstick was sweating when I received it. Even I thought that by mistake I ordered the creamy version, but after some time the lipstick got better.

I love this beautiful packing of Mecca

Thanks for reading, I hope you got some good bargains too in this festive season.

Serums for Every Budget

Here is my favourite serums, They are different from each other and suitable for different skin types

Ultraceuticals Ultra B2 Hydrating Serum: Great for dry skin with anti aging properties, It gives intense hydration and improves the moisture level of the skin with in few days.

Nivea Q10 Antiwrinkle Serum Pearls: This is a multipurpose serum and works as primer too. On my dry skin it works well but I feel that it is more suitable for normal and combination skin.

Natural Instinct Plump and Renew Serum: Great for normal, combination and oily skins, I prefer to use it in warmer days of the year when my skin is not very dry.

Antipodes HOsana H2O Skin Plumping Serum: An other serum for dry skin beauties, It gives intense hydration, after few days of use my skin looks and feels silky soft. I have used its 10ml sample bottle, no doubt, I will buy its full size.

Have you tried any of these serum? love to hear your thoughts.

New Year Resolutions 2017 - Beauty and Blog

Happy New Year everyone, Hope you are having great time in these holidays.

Here is some of my beauty and blog new year resolutions
  • I feel that I ignored my skin care last year, being in thirties, I need to focus on anti aging products. I will take care of my hands and feet as well, I have more than 8 hand creams but I forget to use them.
  • I am planning to regularly declutter my collection, like I have 70 lipstick but some are more than 3 years old. I will donate my extra make up and keep only those which work for me.
  • I need to avoid impulse buys specially when it comes to makeup. From now I am buying only those products which I actually need instead of what I want.  If I behaved well, I will treat myself with a single high end item.
  • I have tons of skin care samples which are roaming around in my house, I need to use all of them.
  • Like all the beauty bloggers I have lots of products in my stash which need to be reviewed but I just kept buying new ones. Now  I have decided that before buying new ones, I will review 5 product which I already have.
  • I will shop my stash more often, specially when I am lusting some thing. I will try to find similar ones in my collection as it is useless to own two similar products.
  • This year I hope my life will be more settled so I try to post more on my blog and work to improve photography skills. We recently broke our camera at Wollongong beach, so we are buying new DSLR for better pictures.
  • I am planning to work more on my Instagram account and I will try to give a well organized new look to my Insta feed.
Thanks for reading, do you have any beauty resolutions for 2017?
